Where To Stay in Louisiana

Louisiana. Home to the Big Easy, swamps, jazz music and the Mississippi River. It’s a great state for a weekend getaway any time of the year, thanks to its year-round warm weather. The next time you choose to visit Louisiana, check out one of these five Louisiana hotels. There is sure to be one to suit you and your travel style.

Five fabulous Louisiana hotels

A Sheraton stay in Metairie

Known as one of the world’s best hotel chains, why not stay at Sheraton Metairie – New Orleans Hotel the next time you are in town? Metairie is an outer New Orleans neighbourhood, but it’s only a 15-minute drive to the heart of the city and the French Quarter. The hotel offers guests free in-room Wi-Fi, a fitness centre and a rooftop pool for beating that Louisiana heat. The Sheraton Club Lounge and Hedges Bar & Grill are on-site, so you don’t have to go far for dinner or drinks either.

Convention Centre convenience

Located less than a block from the Convention Centre, you can’t get more central than Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Centre. The hotel is great for both business and leisure travellers. Business-minded guests will enjoy the ergonomic desks in each room, plus the 5,000 square feet of conference space. All visitors will enjoy the fitness centre, rooftop pool and two onsite dining options, too. With the Mississippi and French Quarter within walking distance, this hotel is a great option.

Elegance in the French Quarter

Established in a 19th-century building in New Orleans’ French Quarter, Prince Conti Hotel is all about luxury and elegance. All of the 76 rooms and suites are decorated with antique furnishings, which add to its Southern charm. Some of the modern amenities the hotel offers include free newspapers in the morning, an onsite ATM and conference space. With children under 13 able to stay for free, this hotel is a good family-friendly option in the heart of New Orleans.

An airport stay

A stay close to the airport doesn’t sound that appealing, but that’s before you met Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Airport. Each room is fitted with a Garden Sleep System bed, which means a good night’s sleep for every traveller. There is also a microwave and remote printing capabilities for added convenience. There is an onsite spa for a little indulgence, and complimentary breakfast every morning in the Pavilion Lounge. Guests can keep active with the in-room Stay Fit Kit or onsite fitness centre. With so many extras, it will be hard to leave this hotel.

Fun and affordable

Bourbon Orleans Hotel is in the perfect spot for Mardi Gras visitors. Not only do some of the rooms have balconies overlooking the street, but the hotel keeps its rates affordable during the busiest time of the year. Some of its great features include a large saltwater pool, valet parking, fitness centre and concierge service. The rooms also feature docking stations and free Wi-Fi, so you can stay connected during your visit.

There’s definitely a boutique hotel in Louisiana awaiting your next trip south.
