Where To Stay – Top Boutique Hotels in St Louis, Missouri

This post may contain affiliate links. For more information, please read the full disclosure policy here.

St Louis is famous for its position on the Mississippi River and its Gateway Arch, which dominates the city’s downtown skyline at 192 metres tall. Fortunately, when people choose to visit the Missouri city and its impressive scenery, they have some excellent independent hotel options. Here are five of the best St Louis hotels.

Five top St Louis hotels

Moonrise Hotel

For a space-themed stay in St Louis, choose the Moonrise Hotel. There’s out-of-this-world artwork (literally), rain showers, complimentary Wi-Fi and plasma televisions in every room. Guests will love the convenience of on-site dining at Eclipse Restaurant as well. There’s also the option to stargaze at the Rooftop Terrace Bar. The hotel is close to the local train station, which makes exploring St Louis very easy. Pets are also invited to stay for $40. They each lovingly receive beds, bowls, a souvenir collar tag, handmade treats and a Moonrise bandana.

Omni Majestic Hotel

Omni Majestic Hotel is a great choice for accommodation in downtown St Louis. Guests will enjoy the luxurious extras, including robes, coffee and tea making facilities, and room service. Food is delivered from the hotel’s restaurant, Mahogany Grille and Bar. Omni Majestic Hotel is home to over 3,000 square feet of conference space, as well as a fitness centre. There’s also a free shuttle, which takes guests around the immediate area. The hotel is located near America’s Centre Convention Complex, the Gateway Arch and the World Aquarium.

The Parkway Hotel

If visitors want to be located in Central West End, check out The Parkway Hotel. It’s close to the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis, the St. Louis Zoo, Missouri Botanical Gardens and the amazing Forest Park. Rooms include free Wi-Fi, plus a refrigerator and microwave. There’s an onsite Applebee’s, so guests can directly order room service or an in-room massage. The Parkway Hotel features a continental breakfast in the morning and a lounge for evening drinks.

Grand Center Inn

The Grand Center Inn suits guests looking for a grand visit to St Louis. It’s housed in an Italian mansion, with some suites featuring clawfoot tubs, fireplaces and private kitchens. The inn has a dedicated business area, two private dining rooms and beautifully landscaped gardens. The daily breakfast only serves fresh and seasonal produce, too. It’s also close to the city’s performance and arts district.

Drury Inn Union Station

For a hotel with plenty of complimentary extras, guests will love Drury Inn Union Station. These free extras include a hot breakfast every morning; overflowing with Belgian waffles, eggs and sausages. The inn is also known for its 5:30 Kickback®, where hot food and cold drinks are served complimentary to guests at 5:30 pm. Furthermore, from 3 to 10 p.m., guests can enjoy free soda and popcorn in the lobby. This, plus a heated indoor swimming pool, make the Drury Inn a great accommodation option for families.

So during your next visit to St Louis to see its Gateway Arch and the Mississippi River, make sure you choose to stay at one of St. Louis’ boutique hotels.
